  • Pawn of Prophecy (Belgariad)
    by David Eddings

If for some reason you did not read this book as a young adult, I encourage you to do so. There are several books that fueled my love for the fantasy genre and this is one of them.

  • Farscape - Season 2, Collection 1 (Starburst Edition)
    Adv Films

Farscape inspired me for several years. This daring TV series had me on the edge of my seat. I was continually surprised, delighted, and awed. All the seasons of this outstanding series are excellent, and the demise of this series was sad. Luckily, a fan revival brought back The Peacekeeper Wars and a conclusion to this outstanding series.

  • The Glass Castle: A Memoir
    by Jeannette Walls

This is a riveting memoir. If you ever think your parents are bad (I, of course don't) please read this book. Jeannette Walls, now a thriving contributor and reporter for MSNBC, tells the true tale of her childhood. Neither damning, nor self-pitying it is a look inside this woman's upbringing. It's been a long time since I've been so consumed by a book. This would be a great book feature for a book club.

  • Battlestar Galactica - Season 2.0 (Episodes 1-10)
starring Edward James Olmos, Jamie Bamber

Battlestar Galactica is one of those TV series that leave you feeling completely satisfied. Not only is there sci fi adventure but there is also political intrigue, complex relationships, and moral dilemas.

  • I Am Legend
    by Richard Matheson

  • The Lady & Sons Savannah Country Cookbook Collection
    by Paula H. Deen

This is probably my favorite cookbook. It's surprisingly easy to use, and everything is delicious.

  • Apple 16 GB iPod touch
    Apple Computer

This is an absolute must. You might think you want this for your music, but you will find endless other things to do with this. I've used mine to watch all the back episodes of MOONLIGHT, as well as read my email and surf the web. I can't recommend this highly enough. It's slick, and VERY easy to set up. Basically, you don't have to read any directions. Just touch it and it does all the work.
